Surprisingly restrained on the nose but still fresh. Red berry notes with hints of cinnamon/pepper spice with touches of blue with a smallgoods savoury edge.
The palate hits with some extra oomph, red fruits with a mulberry edge with great mid palate weight. The Mataro comes through on the finish in more a textural way than characteristic fruit weight but it certainly adds interest with some savoury notes and textural earthy granite notes really adding weight and good structure. This will open in the glass with more blue notes evolving and adding depth with time, we like this a lot!
