Great colour, didn't note the colour exactly, but strong black purple. It's rich, satisfying and full bodied with flavours of blackberry nip, dark chocolate and cedar, and earthy aspect and a little pepper spice. Smooth and fresh for a big wine, plenty of fine tannin but with a slight (but pleasant) grittiness to them. Quality McLaren Vale fruit from a very hot vintage, beautifully turned out and presented.
