It's a terrifically complex wine, bursting with intense sour cherry, pine and game, which as a sit-and-smell-me proposition is exceptionally attractive. Take it in your mouth and the quality continues, here rich and ripe and spicy, with a lick too much spicy bitterness on the finish and perhaps not the greatest of lengths, but an enormous ball of warm seduction through the mid-palate. Wines like this really show how far Australian pinot has come. There's a lot to like here.
